Labor Day Monday is a great day for a 5K! USA Track &
Field Certified Course (IL-04036-JW). We offer a great event
run on the scenic Illinois Prairie Path, through parks and
streets. Challenging and fun for all! All proceeds from this
event will fund the wonderful work of the St. Petronille
Youth Ministry in Appalachia, around the country and in our
community.

AWARDS & RESULTS |
 |
Trophies to the top male & female finisher. The top 3
finishers in each of 14 age groups (male & female) will
receive a medal (5-year increments). There will be post-race
prizes awarded too. Results will be published on our website
(www.stpetschurch.org/stpetsfun.htm) and www.racetime.info.
Results for each runner will also be posted at the event.

PACKET PICKUP & T-SHIRTS TO THE FIRST 500
ENTRANTS |
 |
The first 500 registrants will receive a really cool
T-shirt & Goodie Bag. Shirts, bib numbers & packets can be
picked up on Sunday, September 2nd from 1:00-3:00 pm at St. Petronille Parish
Door Number 4, 420 Glenwood Ave on the east
side of the campus or on raceday (Labor Day) from 7:00-7:45
am.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING |
 |
St. Petronille is located 1 block west of Main St., Glen
Ellyn and just south of the Metra tracks in the heart of
town. The start/finish line is located on the north side of
the campus. Park in the lots to the east and west.

THE COURSE |
 |
USATF Certified! (IL-04036-JW) Diversity is the hallmark
of this beautiful and challenging 3.1 mile loop which
quickly enters the Illinois Prairie Path, heads west to
shady Hoffman Park and back out onto the Glen Ellyn streets
finishing back at St. Petronille. 480 participants last
year. Course record 16:52:8, (set at 2005 race).

Restrooms and Gearcheck are available at start/finish
area, as well as, refreshments & snacks. Split times and
water on the course. Free post-race rubdown available to
all, provided by The National University of Health
Sciences-Lombard, IL and Olympic Chiropractic-Carol Stream &
Westchester, IL. Awards & prizes will be take place
immediately following the race.

ST. PETRONILLE'S YOUTH MINISTRY |
 |
All proceeds will be used to support the St. Petronille
Youth Ministry. This group of young people perform various
acts of service in our communities and around the country.
The Harvest Day Food Drive, fund-raising to fight Aids in
Africa, mission trips to Appalachia and the Blackfeet
Reservation in Montana are some examples of how their acts
of goodwill help the needy locally and beyond. This year the
kids will travel again to Mississippi and Alabama to help with the
lingering effects of Katrina. Feel free to make an additional donation to
our Youth Ministry as you complete your registration.
