Are you curious about becoming Catholic?
Are you Catholic but haven’t yet received all your sacraments?
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), is the amazing journey of entering into the fullness of the Catholic faith through a deeper relationship with Jesus and the Church He founded. We will help you to learn the truth of the Catholic Faith, grow in relationship with Christ, find a community of like-minded people seeking holiness, and prepare for the fullness of life that God desires for us all. As Jesus promised, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) Find this new, abundance of life in the O.C.I.A.
The OCIA program is geared towards three groups of people . . .
A non-Christian who is interested in becoming Catholic, but has never been baptized.
A Protestant who is interested in becoming Catholic, and therefore, interested in receiving Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
A Catholic who was never confirmed and would like to receive Confirmation.
Classes will begin in September 2022
Please contact Kathy Aabram, Adult Faith Formation Coordinator at [email protected] to set up an appointment to learn more about what the OCIA process might look like for you. Click here to fill out the OCIA Interest Form.

Six-week Catholic Study on Handling Worry
About this event
All are welcome to this 6-session study on handling stress & worry. Class will meet on Wednesday mornings, 9-10:30 a.m. September 7-October 12 in the St Petronille parish office.
We live in a day and age characterized by an extraordinary amount of agitation and lack of peace. This tendency manifests itself in our spiritual as well as our secular life. In our search for God and holiness, in our service to our neighbor, a kind of restlessness and anxiety take the place of the confidence and peace which ought to be ours. What must we do to overcome the moments of fear and distress which assail us all too often in our lives? How can we learn to place all our confidence in God and abandon ourselves into his loving care?
Two books will guide our discussions:
• Searching for and Maintaining Peace: a Small Treatise on Peace of Heart by Fr. Jacque Phillipe
• From Worry to Wonder: a Catholic Guide to Finding Peace Through Scripture by Melissa Overmyer
Please purchase both books before class begins on Wednesday, September 7.
